From 15 – 24 January 2019, on the suburbs of Paderborn (Germany), the artwork „I trust my brain that I have never seen to understand what I see“ was presented as a digital print on poster paper on a large-scale billboard, also exhibited in the exhibition „BLACK SAND IN NUDE COFFEE“. On an area of almost 9 m², a photographically and symmetrically constructed body presented itself at the „Heinz-Nixdorf-Ring“ bus stop. Compared to the advertising poster, which is considered a mass medium in urban space, this poster came across as a one-off without a seductive advertising message and a large visible sender. All the more this work irritated and polarised the public space for a few days instead of a colourful advertising poster with „loud“ text.
