Flugplatz Reichenbach – LSGR – Runway 03/21

Situated in the Kander Valley in the Bernese Oberland at an elevation of 723 meters, Flugplatz Reichenbach LSGR was originally established as a military „Reduit“ base during World War II. Following its decommissioning by the Swiss Air Force in 1997, ownership of the site officially transitioned to the „Flugplatzgenossenschaft Reichenbach“ in 2002, ensuring its continuation as a civilian airfield. It features a single asphalt runway, 03/21, measuring 805 meters in length and 18 meters in width. Today, the airfield serves as a vibrant regional hub for general aviation and private pilots, and is home to resident companies like Scenic Air AG, which operates scenic flights over the spectacular peaks and glaciers of the Bernese Alps.
