Flugplatz Birrfeld – LSZF – Runway 08/26

Situated in the Birrfeld plain in the Canton of Aargau, LSZF is the most significant center for general aviation in Switzerland. Established in 1934 and operated by the Aero-Club of Aargau, the airfield sits at an elevation of 395 meters. It features a unique dual-runway system: a primary 718 meter asphalt runway and a parallel 614 meter grass strip, both designated 08/26. As a major training base for both motor and glider pilots, the airfield is renowned for its high traffic density and precision-oriented flight operations within a narrow airspace.
