Heavy Metal over Zurich: Emirates A380 on Final Approach

There is nothing quite like the shadow of a „Giant of the Skies“ passing overhead. On Saturday afternoon, April 11, 2026, I captured this Emirates Airbus A380 on its final approach to Runway 14 at Zurich Airport (ZRH).

Arriving as flight EK87 from Dubai (DXB), the aircraft presented a perfect symmetrical silhouette from this „belly shot“ perspective. The massive wingspan and the sheer scale of the A380 against the clear spring sky remind us why aviation photography is so captivating.
